Klez-experienced? Klez-curious? Sign up for our 9-week Thursday evening workshops in Elsternwick here. We welcome instrumentalists and vocalists ages 12 through 112, intermediate through professional.

What You Can Expect:

• Course Structure: 8 weekly classes of 90 minutes duration in a rehearsal setting, corresponding to the school term. During these classes, Amy and Adam will teach Klezmer repertoire and style, learning melody, harmony and rhythm in the aural tradition (no sheet music!).

• Final Class: The 9th week is an end of term concert.

Details:

• Pricing: $200/180 for the term, with one-off single sessions available in the first four weeks ($30/25). Early bird discounts apply if enrolling more than 2 weeks before the start of term.

• Instruments: Amplified instruments will need to bring their own equipment. There is one piano available.

• Times and Dates: Classes are held 7:30 - 9:00pm on Thursday evenings. Occasionally, these classes are held on Sunday evenings where there is a clash with holidays etc., but all dates are listed on the enrolment form.
